You must send us your OEM core cylinder head, throttle body, camshafts, and fuel pump to be modified or exchanged. Once you place your order, we’ll contact you with shipping information to send in your parts.

*You will have to modify your OEM airbox to use this kit. See pictures of modified airbox to the left.

We recommend using the Graves Motorsports Works 2 full exhaust with this kit, but you will see similar significant gains with any high quality, full length, full system exhaust that uses a restrictor baffle in the end.

In order to maximize performance and reliability of this kit, we only recommend tuning this kit with the aRacer Super RC2 using our parameters.

Here’s the before and after comparison dyno graph on a 2017 Yamaha R3, keep in mind, this is all done with 91 pump gas, and if you want to run high performance race fuel, you could easily get another 2hp from this kit:

*If you would like to run this Superbike kit with high performance race fuel, we recommend installing CP Carrillo connecting rods for added strength to ensure the longevity of your motor.

This Norton Racing ported cylinder head has been optimized on the flow bench and dyno, digitized to remove any imperfections done by hand porting, then CNC duplicated for maximum performance and consistency. The face has been milled to increase compression and a high performance valve job done.

Price includes installation of valves and seals.

For maximum performance, this kit is designed to be paired with the Graves Works 2 full exhaust, MWR race air filter, Norton Racing Superbike Velocity Stacks and modified airbox, and tuned with the aRacer Super RC2 ECU to our parameters.

The OEM Airbox in the Yamaha R3 contains two different length velocity stacks, a long one and a short one. This Norton Spec Velocity stack is to be paired with the shorter OEM velocity stack and used with a modified OEM airbox.

Modify OEM Fuel Pump for Increased Fuel Pressure Modify OEM Fuel Pump for Increased Fuel Pressure

When building an R3 Superbike with this kit, it is necessary to modify the OEM fuel pump to increase fuel pressure, otherwise the OEM fuel pump and injectors cannot supply enough fuel to properly tune the engine.

When building a Yamaha R3 Superbike, air flow becomes a problem, and overboring the throttle body to increase flow is the cure. We have dyno tested performance with straight bore and tapered bore throttle bodies and prefer to use the largest straight bore throttle bodies for maximum performance. Our Yamaha R3 throttle bodies are bored 1.5mm over the OEM size to increase air flow. New butterfly valves are installed and additional proprietary changes are made to increase air flow based on our own dyno testing.
