Vortex Racing 7 Degree Drop Angle 41mm Clip-Ons – Yamaha R3 2015-2018

Vortex Clip-Ons are an economical replacement handlebar with amazing strength. They are machined from solid billet with a removable handlebar. In the event of a crash, you simply replace the handlebar tube instead of the entire Clip-on.  Kit includes both collars, 2 handlebar tubes with plastic ends and high tensile strength fasteners.

Note: Vortex Bar End BE118K will also work with Vortex Clip-on tubes.

Because these clipons must mount above the triple clamp to avoid interference, we recommend them for street riders because they offer a more aggressive riding position and clean up the look of your R3 at the same time.

***IMPORTANT***
The OEM left side grip is VERY difficult to remove without damaging it, and the OEM Throttle tube on the R3 has molded plastic fins on it to keep the grip from spinning.  This makes it very labor intensive to file or dremel down these fins if you want to install aftermarket grips.  Because of these 2 factors, I highly recommend purchasing a replacement left side grip with your clipons to make your installation easy.  I also highly recommend replacing the R3 throttle tube with an R6 throttle tube at the same time you are changing the clipons, since you already have the handle bars taken apart.  The R6 throttle tube has a larger cam diameter and will shorten the throw of the throttle on your R3 by 15-20%.  This makes it much easier to reach full throttle without having to re-grip the throttle or twist your wrist uncomfortably far.  This does not require any modification to your R3 other than loosening the throttle cable a little at the adjuster nut on the throttle housing.
